The conference is primarily intended for managers of hospitals and other healthcare facilities, their founders or owners, doctors and nurses in leading positions, employees of health insurance companies and public administration, as well as for supplier companies. The goal is to inspire changes in the functioning of the organizations they lead.

Why do we need higher productivity?
Pavel Hroboň, Managing Partner, Advance Healthcare Management Institute | Czech Republic
Pavel studied medicine at Charles University in Prague and health policy and health management at Harvard University. He has experienced the healthcare environment from many perspectives - as a practicing physician, McKinsey consultant & Company, director of strategy and advisor to the General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic or deputy minister of health. In 2009, he co-founded the Advance Healthcare Management Institute and created the successful Executive Master of Healthcare Administration program. Pavel lectures at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and is a member of the Government's National Economic Council.
Long-term results of the Dutch healthcare reform
Patrick Jeurissen, Professor of healthcare finance Radboud University Medical School and global lead health policy Philips | Netherlands
Patrick Jeurissen is Professor of Health Systems and Finance at Radboud University Faculty of Medicine and also works for the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Sport in the Netherlands. His research focuses on health policy, financing, cost control, access to health care, and the role of commercial providers. He is the author of more than 100 publications and co-author of four books. He also has a Ph.D. in Health Economics and Policy and an M.P.A., both from Erasmus University Rotterdam. As an expert on health strategy, he advised the EU, WHO and several national governments, for example in Switzerland, Austria, Cyprus, or Finland, regarding health reform and fiscal sustainability. Patrick represented the Dutch government at the OECD for many years and was the first chairman of their flagship working team for the PaRiS system. He is also a sought-after speaker at (international) forums and works as an expert editor for Health Policy, a renowned academic periodical. In 2024, he became the global leader for health policy at Royal Philips.

Out-of-pocket payments as part of socially fair and sustainable financing of the healthcare system in Slovakia
Henrieta Tulejová, Partner, Advance Healthcare Management Institute | Slovak Republic
Henrieta Tulejová is a partner and internal lecturer at Advance Healthcare Management Institute. She studied Masters in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Boston and financial management at the Faculty of Management of the Comenius University in Bratislava. At Advance, Henrieta works in the area of health insurance, setting up sustainable healthcare financing and analyzing the effectiveness of care provision in hospitals. She worked on several managed care projects, disease management programs and innovative contracts between health insurance companies and health care providers, e.g. package contracts and P4P. For more than 5 years, she worked as a manager of the strategic planning department at the health insurance company Dôvera. Before that, she worked as a member of the reform teams of Tomáš Julínek and Rudolf Zajac, where she worked on the reform of health insurance companies and public health insurance.
Sustainable financing of Health Care Systems – the Slovenian Case
Dušan Jošar, head of the Process Organization Division at the Ministry of Health | Slovenia
After graduating from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dušan Jošar began his career in the field of health care at the Health Insurance Institute as an actuary at the former unit for complementary health insurance. After his career at the Ministry of Health, he was a long-time head of the Public Health Economics Sector, worked in the areas of health care financing, health systems performance measurement (HSPA) and, in addition to being a member of the European Commission's working groups, was involved in cooperation with international organizations (OECD, WHO, Observatory on Health Systems and Policies) and experts in the field of health systems. He has participated in key changes in legislation in the field of health care, with an emphasis on financing, drafting amendments to the provision of resources and cooperated in major analysis the health care system in the Republic of Slovenia in 20215. From 2020 to 2022, he was an attaché in Brussels in charge of public health. During this time, he was in charge of, among other things, the area of the international treaty on pandemics, the files on the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and other public health areas. During the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, he successfully negotiated Council Conclusions prepared by the Republic of Slovenia, which were important for further innovative approaches in the field of health care financing. He is currently the Head of the Process Organization Division at the Ministry of Health.

He had opportunity to observe and influence health care from several positions – as a practicing physician, consultant with McKinsey & Company, Director of Strategy at the Czech General Health Insurance fund (VZP), and Deputy Minister of Health of the Czech Republic. In 2009, Pavel co-founded Advance Healthcare Management Institute and created a successful executive program Master of Healthcare Administration. Pavel lectures at the Charles University in Prague and is member of the National Economic Council of the Czech Government.

Roel Goffin, CFO/COO of Executive Board of Zuyderland Medical Centre | Netherlands
Roel has been a member of the executive board of the Zuyderland health group since March 2009, with responsibility for finance and operational management. He previously held the position of hospital director and controller in Zuyderland, where he served in these capacities from the beginning of September 2001. He is also a board member of the Association of Dutch Topclinical Hospitals, president of the Dutch Handball Federation and a member of the supervisory board of Prisma (provider of services for clients with intellectual disabilities). .

Daniel Hodyc, Advance Healthcare Management Institute | Czech Republic
Daniel Hodyc is a partner and in-house lecturer at Advance Healthcare Management Institute. Daniel studied medicine at Charles University in Prague and health service management at the University of Economics. He is the co-founder of the company Advance Healthcare Management Institute, which provides comprehensive education in the field of health services management to executives in the healthcare industry. He is also a partner and senior consultant at Advance Healthcare Management Consulting, where he is engaged in analysis and consulting in various areas of healthcare, e.g. creating clinical protocols or evaluating the production of health care providers. At Advance Hospital Analytics, he is also engaged in the evaluation of hospitals.
Healthcare strategy of the Liberec region
Tomáš Roubíček, Medical Director and Vice Chairman of the Board, Regional Hospital Liberec | Czech Republic
Tomáš Roubíček is a cardiologist (electrophysiologist) at the Liberec Regional Hospital (KNL). He also worked at VFN Prague, the Medical Rescue Service of the Liberec Region and at IKEM Prague. He teaches at the Faculty of Health Studies of the Technical University of Liberec and at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University. As part of his scientific work, he is engaged in problems of heart failure (cardiac resynchronization therapy). At KNL, he was at the birth of the successful program for medics called Lékarom nanečisto. He has been the medical director of KNL since 2022. His priorities include staff education with an emphasis on communication both within the team and with patients and their families. In 2024, he graduated with a Master of Healthcare Administration. It is the guarantor of the policy of prevention and care for patients with cardiovascular diseases in the Liberec region. He participates in the creation of the healthcare concept of the Liberec Region for the period 2024+.

Michal Šnorek, Chairman of the Board of South Bohemian Hospitals | Czech Republic
Michal Šnorek graduated from the Second Faculty of Medicine at Charles University and in Healthcare services management from the University of Economics. Since 2006, he has been working as a physician at the Cardiac Center of České Budějovice Hospital, a.s. In 2013, he completed his doctoral studies in the field of Human Physiology and Pathophysiology, and in 2014, he earned an MHA degree. He is a member of several professional societies and has been a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) since 2015. From 2014 to 2019, he held the position of Director of Internal Medicine at České Budějovice Hospital. Since April 2019, he has been Chairman of the Board of České Budějovice Hospital, a.s. As of January 2025, he is also Chairman of the Board of Jihočeské Nemocnice, a.s.
